We are looking for a motivated Expeditor to join our team! You will contribute to an exceptional dining experience by communicating with Chef and line, keeping track of ticket times, inspecting and garnishing every plate, and assisting servers.
You are great at managing multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment. With special attention to the details, you care about performing quality work and overall contributing to a friendly and productive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
  • Check on status of tickets/dishes
  • Keep line chefs on track with what is needed, and ticket times
  • Alert waitstaff when kitchen is out of ingredient or item
  • Update quantities of items in point-of-sale system
  • Relay special food requests from FOH to BOH
  • Ensure food portions adhere to restaurant standards
  • Inspect every plate to be sure the proper garnishes have been applied and the dishes are smudge free
  • Bring food out to guests using food service trays
  • Follow proper open/close documents
Qualifications:
  • Previous knowledge of food service regulations preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks while maintaining composure
  • Able to communicate effectively with all departments
  • Detail-oriented

Tuition Reimbursement
$500 per semester for Restaurant Industry Specific classes (hospitality, culinary, business related courses). $250.00 per semester for Non-Industry Specific classes (trades, literature, psychology, etc). Maximum of $500 per semester. Must maintain a B average or higher in course.
